A handsome Prince falls in love with a beuatiful Fairy, but his mother and an evil witch conspire to keep them apart.

The Queen wants her son, handsome Prince Skyblue, to marry a Princess from a good family who is beautiful, rich and easy to handle... and definitely has no magic powers. Prince Skyblue wants to pick his own bride, however, and rides off with his squire Fred.
Soon he meets delightful Fairy Lupine, who lives in the fairies' camp in the middle of the kingdom with her pony, Alfonse. Lupine takes a liking to the handsome young stranger as well. However, the Queen has been spying on them with her spyglass from the castle tower and is aghast. Why does Skyblue have to go courting a fairy, of all people? The Queen has a deep loathing for all magical creatures!
There's no time to lose, so the Queen has the witch Confidante fetched from the tower prison. Confidante, disguised as a travelling saleswoman, goes to find Skyblue and Lupine - and curses them both to keep them from falling in love. What no one realizes: Confidante is secretly planning on marrying Skyblue herself and taking over the kingdom. Confidante's evil plan almost succeeds, were it not for combined forces of all the good fairies, who confront her in a nighttime showdown in the fairy forest, where love triumphs over all ?
